Capital: Dragon Devouring a Human

Dragons with wings, front feet, and a human-like shared head devour a human, presumably meant to represent a sinner. The human faces on the capitals display long reptilian tongues. Detail of Romanesque capital in the choir, mid-12th century. St-Pierre, Chauvigny, Poitou-Charentes, France.
