Elevation of the presbytery, looking ecclesiastical south (actual west) to the south aisle and transept. Rebuilt in the 1220s, the presbytery of the abbey church is one of the great works of Early English Gothic architecture. It has strong similarities with the architecture of Ely Cathedral.
