- Caption
- Effigy tomb of Philip I of France (d. 1108) in the 11th-century sanctuary of Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire Abbey. King Philip was buried here in August 1108; the sanctuary had just been dedicated on March 21 of the same year. The mosaic floor in polychrome marble is the oldest object in the church, dating from the 4th or 5th century during the Roman period. It was installed in the previous abbey church around 1000 and preserved in the present church.
