North Rose Window (1230): Center of the Rose

The north transept window was a gift from Queen Blanche of Castille in 1230. The rose window illustrates the Glorification of the Virgin, with the Virgin and Child surrounded by doves and angels, Old Testament kings and prophets. Chartres Cathedral, France.
